Description
We are going to start the projects with celebrations of Chinese Lunar New Year and the Lantern Festival to explore the food, drinks, Chinese table culture and 12 zodiac animals. We will not only expand the vocabulary, but also scaffold our learners to express their favorite food/drink/animals in sentences, comprehend and decode the conversations.
We aim to help students build fluency in spoken Chinese, recognize high-frequency Chinese characters, and develop strong reading and writing skills. Using a “learning through context” approach, we integrate captivating books and interactive activities tailored to students’ grade levels and individual needs.
Throughout the program, students will work on mastering 50 high-frequency Chinese characters and 25 essential sentences, reinforcing their foundation for effective communication. They will review grade-level Chinese characters and enhance their understanding through engaging stories and role-playing exercises.
