Description

We will kick off winter season with reviewing what we have learned in the Fall and then a vibrant celebration of Chinese Lunar New Year and the Lantern Festival, immersing students in Chinese table culture, food, drinks, and the stories of the 12 zodiac animals. This exciting start will not only help students expand their vocabulary but also guide them to express their favorite foods, drinks, and animals in sentences while developing skills to comprehend and decode conversations. Additionally, students will continue recognizing and writing Chinese characters.

Our “learning through context” approach leverages captivating books, engaging stories, and interactive activities, all tailored to each student’s grade level and individual needs. By combining storytelling with Project-Based Learning, students will explore fun and meaningful Chinese characters, improve their communication skills through role-play, and celebrate the traditions of the Lunar New Year in a hands-on way.

This season, students will continue learning 50+ high-frequency vocabulary words, practice 50+ sentence structures, and master related Chinese characters. This comprehensive approach not only enhances reading and writing skills but also cultivates a deeper cultural understanding, creating a truly enriching learning journey.
