Description

We will kick off the school year with a strong foundation in vocabulary, sentence structures, and Chinese character recognition through engaging, context-based learning. In the fall, students will explore everyday themes and cultural topics using captivating stories, interactive activities, and age-appropriate projects tailored to each learner’s level and needs.

As winter arrives, students will celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year and the Lantern Festival, learning about Chinese table culture, traditional foods, and the 12 zodiac animals. They will expand their vocabulary and express their favorite foods, drinks, and animals in complete sentences, while continuing to develop skills to comprehend and decode conversations.

In the spring, students will connect with the world around them by observing seasonal changes, learning about nature cycles, fruits, vegetables, and animals. They will build on their skills to describe what they see in sentences and deepen their understanding through hands-on projects and role-play.

Throughout the year, students will continue learning 50+ high-frequency vocabulary words, practice 30+ sentence structures, and master related Chinese characters. This comprehensive, story- and project-based approach helps enhance reading, writing, and communication skills while fostering a deeper cultural connection and love for the language.
