Description
This class is for children ages 3–5 to play their way to Chinese fluency!
Over the course of the school year, children will develop Chinese language skills through joyful, play-based learning. Each week during interactive circle time, they’ll enjoy stories, music, movement, games, toys, puppets, and imaginative play. Lessons are built around engaging themes like art, food, animals, science, cities, and nature—encouraging natural communication in Chinese.
Throughout the year, we build foundational Chinese language skills such as numbers, family, and colors, while celebrating Chinese culture with festivals like Mid Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year and the Lantern Festival. Children learn about Chinese table culture, traditional foods, and the 12 zodiac animals.
In the fall and winter, we focus on cozy indoor activities like storytelling, crafts, acting play, and cultural celebrations. As spring and summer arrive, outdoor learning brings opportunities to explore seasonal changes, fruits and vegetables, and the natural world. Through interactive games and projects, children build vocabulary, use new verbs, and grow in fluency and confidence—while having fun all year long!
