Description
This fall, employing a ‘learning through context’ approach, we will utilize captivating storybooks and interactive activities to reinforce fundamental Chinese concepts like greetings, family, colors, numbers, body parts, time, dates, weather, and more, to be able to form sentences and ask/answer questions.
At the same time, students will foster language communication skills through interactive games such as voice acting and role-playing scenarios.
Additionally, we will start to improve students’ Chinese reading by recognizing 20 commonly used Chinese characters and help them apply it in the story we learned.
Class dates (13 sessions): 9/10, 9/17, 9/24; 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29; 11/5, 11/12, 11/19 ,11/26 (No Class); 12/3, 12/10, 12/17 (Make Up)
